I still used the big diaper bag, since I didn’t have to carry all the formula and such I just put my small purse right in the diaper bag, and a change of clothes for my little one and a extra shirt for myself, kids are always making a mess, and in any mess, I was safe with a clean top.
Have a great day!

  • I dumped the oversized bag a few weeks in with my first child. With this one, I’ve never used one. I use a “Lil Tripper” from Land’s End – it was affordable ($25), just the right size, and stylish enough for dad. Half the time though, I just shove a onsie, two diapers and a baggie of wipes in my purse for short jaunts.
  • We still have a big one- but it stays in the car-it doesn’t look like a diaper bag though. The only time we take it out with us is if we are going to be going far from where we park or are going to be gone for a really long time- ie- the zoo. I am breastfeeding and she really doesn’t need anything in the bag except for diapers. She turned 1 just 2 weeks ago.
  • I personally never used the big diaper bag, except for long trips. I’ve always just had a small back pack that holds a few diapers, travel size pack of wipes, a bottle (or sippy), a little snack and a couple small toys. I hate lugging around a huge bag on top of trying to maneuver my child. Keep it simple is my motto!
  • i gotta big purse the bag is 2 tacky n pink is not my favorite color
  • Yes!, I switch to a toddler backpack, it was more convenient because I didn’t have to carry so much stuff anymore.

I had just a cheap diaper bag from Walmart before I got my Ju Ju Be Packabe. My sister-in-law got one first and highly recommended it so I decided to splurge and get it. Best decision EVER! It holds every thing my old one did (and more) but is more COMPACT. Its weird and I’m not quite sure how it works, but it does. I LOVE the backpack to shoulder back feature. I love that it keeps my bottles cold in the side pockets. i LOVE the mommy pocket-my stuff used to just be tossed in with all the baby’s stuff making it hard to find. Its a FABULOUS diaper bag! I’m SOLD! I can’t wait to try it out with 2 kids, we’re having our 2nd in 4 months.

Beautiful, functional, VERY well-made and sturdy. I would definitely buy again. The only negative thing about this bag is the magnets that hold the pockets closed are quite strong — sometimes they grab onto cars and other metal things as you are walking by! But I am used to it now. I am in love with this bag!! The diaper case and stroller clips are also awesome.

I just started getting into Ju Ju Bes and I bought the Packabe only a few days ago. This brand is by far the most well-made diaper bag I’ve ever come across. The Packabe has a mommy pocket, that means no need to carry a separate purse. The organization is superb, it has just the right amount of pockets inside to keep small items from getting lost inside the bag. The Packabe does not look that big in real life but it is very spacious inside and can easily hold items for two kids or can be used for overnight outings. The Lush Paisley print is just beautiful. Ju Ju Be has the best prints, none of their prints look generic so when you are carrying a Ju Ju Be, it really stands out!

I am very pleased with the craftmanship, look, style, and durability of this bag and would highly recommend it to other moms.

I thought this diaper bag would be the “perfect” one for me.

    DISLIKES:

    - No padded straps. If they were padded, this product would have definitely gotten 5 stars.

    - A bit on the heavy side, and without the padded straps, makes it uncomfortable to wear for a long period of time.

    LIKES:

-Able to fit a good amount of items: 5 diapers, costco wipes, emergency tees, blankies, diaper cream, hand sanitizer, a couple toys, burp cloths, paci

–inside the outside pockets: water bottle, car keys/house keys, wallet, lotions

I really wanted to *love* this diaper bag but I think I only like it. It is a good size and easy to clean, and is not uncomfortable to wear. Things do seem to get lost in the bottom of the big part (the black hole syndrome I guess)and when carrying the back like a backpack and it is not completely full, the bag seems to fold in half. It’s not a big deal but annoying to me. The front pockets are also not the easiest to get into. Overall though it’s ok but not worth the price to me.

Well, when she was one I changed to a smaller bag…. then when she was 1 1/2 I had to change to a big diaper bag again because I had her sister LOL. Personally, I like the big bags better. You can just fit more stuff in them.

I used a regular diaper bag until about 2 and now I just throw a diaper and cup in my purse. We are working on potty training so I also put a change of clothes in there.

i did the switch too I got a smaller more compact diaper bag and it was so much easier!

  7. baby girl on March 9th, 2010 8:48 pm

thats a personal choice, personally i switched only when she was potty training. before that i still needed the space for cloths recieveing blanket, diapers wipes, sippy cup, and more. when she was potty training all it was was a change of cloths and extra underwear. and she started carrying it.

then again mine was stuck wanting her wild bear, and her blanky almost everywhere so i kept the bigger bag for room for those too.

I always kept my pram bag cause I thought it looked nicer than a toddler backpack. But I guess it’s up to you. But saying that I have a 20 month old and a 11 month old baby so I use my pram back cause it’s bigger and matches.

I have a 17m/o and a 3 y/o and I don’t use the diaper bag much. The only time I really use it is if I am going out for whole day and need a lot of things. Most of the time, all I need are a few diapers and some wipes- at this point I am not worrying about baby food etc.

I used a backpack or smaller diaper bag as it made it more convient and less heavy, but it seemed like i got the same stuff in the bag as i did before the baby hit one so i dont know. but even new borns can have a small diaper bag, just organize stuff and they work just fine…

I just use a small bag just big enough to carry a couple of spare nappies, tissues and wipes. If he needs a drink, I take a sipper cup separately or he carries it with him. So much easier than lugging all that stuff about. Of course, this is for short term outings. If overnight, I have a small backpack for extras like bottles of food, snacks, etc. Life is so much easier now. (Just wish he would sleep through!!)

Well, my “baby” is ten years old, and we had the regular diaper bags at that time, toddler backpacks? What are those? LOL!! Just kidding, a lot has changed in ten years!!!

The diaper bag worked for me, I did not over pack, and kept our visiting time to a limit, I knew it was time to leave when we were running out of diapers! LOL!!

But if I had to choose, I would say I would try the toddler backpack! It sounds so cool!!!
