This may be the best bag I’ve ever owned. I recently traveled by plane and found it was large enough to accommodate my 13″ laptop, seven extra diapers + wipes (never know how long you’re going to be stuck in the airport), two books (one for me, one for my husband), and various other items, all without making the bag bulky (though yes, it was heavy, as you can imagine). Yet, the bag is somehow compact enough that I can use it around town *without* all of those items, and it doesn’t look like I’m carrying a giant empty bag around. Should your child decide he wants *you* to hold his beloved stuffed sheep, it’ll fit easily inside. For any moms and dads out there returning to school, you can fit a textbook (two if they’re slim), notebooks, folders, etc. inside and not worry that it looks like you’re using a diaper bag. (FYI, when my laptop is inside, I find my bulky textbook too big to also fit, so I just carry it.)
Perhaps my favorite feature are the two front pockets, miraculously large enough to easily slip a sippy cup in and out of (but, when empty, look just as they do in the picture), thus keeping it upright and spill-free. I also love the two zippered pockets at the top of the bag (I keep my wallet in one of them). I don’t use my stroller much anymore (my son is 2 1/2), but I do use the stroller clips on the cart handle at the grocery store. I *love* not having to carry my bag around and having easy access to sippy cups, snacks, etc. that my son may want.

My husband will tell you I am a diaper bag slut – I have tried many and refused to commit to any … until now. The Skip Hop Duo Deluxe Uptown is everything I have been looking for in a diaper bag. It is stylish AND convenient. I have an infant and a toddler, and there’s room for both their stuff. The water bottle net on the side is perfect for mommy’s drink but it can also adjust to fit a sippy cup, the mobile phone pocket is big enough for my smartphone, the changing pad is long enough for my toddler – I could go on and on. All the things that frustrated me in other bags are addressed with this one, and the fact that it snaps right onto the stroller made it perfect because my infant seat makes accessing the basket under the stroller impossible. So settle down for a long-term relationship with this diaper bag; this is THE BAG to own especially if you have two!!

Yep, it is a cute bag and has lots of pockets. The problem is, once you starting putting things in the pockets, it becomes difficult to reach inside the main compartment as the pockets bulge towards the interior of the bag and not out.
I have no idea how a previous poster managed to get a laptop, seven diapers and anything else in this bag. And books? No way.
I’ll use this bag for quick trips around town but for day trips, forget about it. We will use the DaddyGear backpack I got for my husband – roomier, more convenient with an outside wipe dispenser, and still stylish.
There is no way I could fit 4 diapers, wipes, changing pad, lotion, a change of clothes, lunch containers, sippy cup and any kind of stuffed animal in this diaper bag without pulling everything out to get to the bottom of the bag.

I am a diaper bag addict, and have owned many in my son’s 2 short years of life. But I really like this one, and will be content carrying it for a long time. I previously used the Skip Hop Spark Bag from Target and really liked it for the price. The things that bugged me were the two shoulder straps, making it more like a purse than a diaper bag and the velcro closures. That’s why I ordered this bag to replace it.
Here is what I love about this bag: I love that it has strong magnet closures, and NO velcro. It is a little more durable, and made of nicer material than the Spark at Target. It also sits up better, and doesn’t flop over as easily.
I love the padded shoulder strap that is easy to adjust, so I can easily wear it over the shoulder or across my body. Unlike the other reviewer, I do not think this is a bulky, square bag. I think it has a good shape, although it’s not huge and if you load it down with lots of stuff, I can see how it could be bulky. However, it is perfect for a toddler’s daily stuff and my “mom” stuff fits nicely in a zippered pocket.
I also love the Chocolate color, because it goes well with all my clothes and doesn’t show dirt/stains.
I recommend this bag, it’s very nice, but for the money, if you aren’t that picky, you could get almost the same bag from Target for cheaper.

I got this bag for traveling since it has so many pockets. We just took it on a trip and it was great. I love the pockets on the front to easily get something or put something in, like a toy or pacifier. The side mesh holder was able to hold my sons two handled sippy cup and the cell phone pocket is awesome. I like the two pockets on the top of the bag. These aren’t the kind you see on other bags. I was able to put diapers right there and get at them easily without having to dig in the bag. I also like the magnetic closures. I previously had the Spark by Skip Hop from Target, which is also a good bag but I didn’t like the velcro because blankets and things would snag on it.
I love that you can carry this by one strap unlike the Spark with two straps and the way this attaches to a stroller is awesome! We kept it attached to our umbrella stroller for our trip and it worked great. When I first bought this my husband said, “oh no…another diaper bag” but after this trip he said “that was a really good buy; it worked out great for our trip”
This is a good bag for traveling or everyday use depending on how much stuff you like to bring. I alternate between this one and my Petunia Pickle Bottom bag, which is more for style rather than this one is more practical but still very cute.
I gave it 4 stars because when you do have stuff in the inside pockets it puffs out towards the inside making it a little hard to see or fit other stuff in there. The changing pad is a great size, but once your bag is full it’s a little hard to get in and out of the back pocket (I find this to be true with most bags though). Overall I would say it’s a very good bag and I would recommend it to a friend.
